The articles in this section are
written by visitors of CharkBait, folks with some information to share. Proving
experience really is the best teacher, it's hoped that sharing these experiences are of
aid to others. If you have some smarts to share please consider offering
your own contribution to the Journal. You don't have to be the world's most polished
writer (I prove that all the time). But, you do have to offer something folks can
use. Be the first on your block (dock?) to make this list... Besides the joy
of helping others, you'll also get your very own free CharkBait hat or tee-shirt.
Send an email for info.
The Journal was first created
back in the '90's. In June of 2013 the Journal section was moved to another web
domain in order to free up some server space. Frankly, I was crashing the server
with too many files, images, navigation links... As a result of the
migration to the Tackle Trader domain which I also own and have let slip away in
terms of updating some of the auction and classified ad script (we were getting
hammered by spammers...) a few of the links may
be broken. Please accept my apology for any problems in this regard while I do
some updating... Many of the articles go back in time, so please understand that content and some
information may indeed be dated. We are always looking to add more info, new
articles from visitors. If you'd like to contribute and be published please send
me an email and we'll get the ball rolling. You can reach me by way of
CharkBait,
my email address is posted at the bottom of every page on that site.
I'd also like to take this
time to thank those who have contributed over the years. Some of the guys have
moved on, a couple gave up there boats or stopped fishing for the sake of their
personal lives or family, a couple others have passed away, and one or two have
dropped off the edge of the world and have disappeared...ah but what they've
written lives on... And, many of the contributors are still good friends and
supporters of CharkBait. To all, I extend my sincere thanks for the association
we've had, and for your contributions! Without doubt, the internet introduced me
to some wonderful folk, and some great times fishing with friends.
Please note, as of 2010 we're
making use of our YouTube channel for video posting. The load time is
much faster there than here. So, many of our videos below are also
there, and it's an easier load. You can find us at CharkBaitUSA on
